For a man who has spent all his adult life in the vicinity of a microphone, Richard Keys would seem to be pretty slow to grasp the dangers.

This weekend’s “Do me a favour, love” diatribe with Andy Gray about Sian Massey and Karen Brady was notable for the absolute lack of humour in the comments. These two were genuinely appalled to see a bird on the line.

Of course, it’s not the first time the lads have made their feelings clear about women in football.

Then there was Keys’ fart tribunal and “stupid little boy” assessment of Theo Walcott:
“You’ve been s***e, son, in your daft pink boots – absolute rubbish.”

.

And, most memorably, there was the “daft little ground, silly game, fuck off” introduction to highlights of Faroe Islands – Scotland.

In light of Sky’s admission that this weekend’s remarks by Keys and Gray “are not acceptable”, could we be finally set to say “Yeah, see ya” to one or both of the indiscreet pair.
