Commentary Gabriel Egan-style as Cameron Jerome puts Birmingham 2-1 up;

“Ahhh, who go, a ha, here we go.”

Ray Wilkins ups the hype-ante on Sky;

“There’s so many people’s lives at stake”

Quite what Peter Beagrie has against the Hull gaffer, we don’t know;

“Phil Brown, you can’t understate the job that he’s done there.”

“Before he used to work 24 hours a day but now he’s got a good balance. He’s got good staff around him, good coaches and he can leave some of the work to them.”

So who was it that regaled Sky Sports News of Fergie’s newfound, relaxed approach to life at Old Trafford? That’s right, none other than Steve McClaren, Alex’s right-hand man during the bad old days when he could rely on no one but himself.
