John Barnes and Matt Le Tissier have some bad news for the current crop of WAGs.

Pressed on Soccer AM for his favourite bedroom listening, Johnny Barnes had a disappointment for ladies hoping to see Digger hold and give and do it at the right time:

“In the old days it would have been 12 inches but not anymore. Maybe a short one.”

While, later, on Soccer Saturday, Matt Le Tiss reacted ruefully to Jeff Stelling’s suggestion that he shouldn’t write off Blackburn’s chances at two-nil down:

“It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve been premature.”
