Although conquering the Europa League Odds is not going to be quite enough to attract the likes of Kaka or Pato to Eastlands, such a victory would go a long way towards helping the long suffering Manchester City faithful to ease the pain that they have endured as they have watched season after season pass by with their bitter local rivals winning everything in sight whilst their team has won almost nothing.

With City one of the sides currently in with a real shout of winning this season’s competition, and with many Europa League Betting pundits arguing that success usually breeds further success, any decision by manager Roberto Mancini to field a full strength side in Europe’s second rate club competition is one that could turn out to be the launch pad for his side to reach bigger and better things in the near future.

However, with City looking likely to be one of the main challengers for the Premier League title this season, they may come under pressure to ensure that they concentrate solely upon putting out their top side in the domestic league, rather than placing any serious emphasis on a competition that has become increasingly devalued in recent years, as the Champions League continues to expand to include more teams from the top European Leagues.

Despite this, Fulham have shown that a good run in the Europa League can provide a real boost to a club, and with Manchester City struggling to find ways to increase their revenue as they continue to make huge financial losses as they spend their way to success on the pitch, they could have a real opportunity to earn a good amount of money… as well as some silverware to go with it.
